WHO WE ARE

Autism is the fastest-growing developmental disability in the U.S. It affects an estimated 1 in 44 children and adults. As needs grow in the autism community, ASA strives to expand services - but we must first meet our fundraising goals. With your help, we can continue to grow and serve thousands of individuals affected by ASD in AL. Over the years, we have implemented new programs that provide funds for families to assist with the cost of respite and safety needs, given hope to newly diagnosed families by providing a CARE Binder with local resources, and offered Sibshops so special needs siblings can have a safe, fun, recreational environment as they obtain peer support and education. The Autism Support of Alabama also continues to provide information and support for families, train First Responders, and send over 100 campers to Camp FROG annually.

Our mission is to improve services for children and adults affected by autism spectrum disorder and their families through education and advocacy.
